I feel I must write and compliment all concerned on the organisation of this holiday starting with the booking staff also the flights with Cyprus Airways and the hotel staff. She was always at the hotel on the 3 days of the week at the time stated and nothing was too much trouble , very reliable, helpful and friendly. I have just had 3 weeks holiday at the Aloe Hotel Cyprus. It was excellent. The hotel has very spacious lounges and extensive swimming pool areas. The rooms are very comfortable and the meals were 1st class. excellent for both quality and choice. I have told other holiday makers and friends to book the Aloe hotel with Mercury Direct. Due to the recent problems caused by volcanic ash, we have had to contact your staff at Mercury Direct on several occasions to attempt to re-schedule our flights to Cyprus. I want you to know that I had the most enjoyable time of my rather long life so far!! Your arrangements were spot on. The Venus Beach Hotel was simply great. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the view was superb, over looking the Tomb of the Kings and the Mediterranean. The food was delicious, with plenty of choices for the most fussy palates, and what can I say about the staff? Everyone of them treated me as if I was the Queen, and i'm only a common garden welsh valley girl, a nobody! What follows is our Trip Advisor review for our recent holiday. We returned from our recent stay at The Annabelle mid February. I have to say we could have stayed longer and the pull to return home was to see out young grandchildren. Our stay was relaxing and we thought very good value for money generally. The factors that made our stay so good were the view from our room (166). The weather was such that we woke up to a different vista each morning, it always included a sea view and a view of the castle. The room was spacious, clean and was week served by accommodation staff. As typical British we do like a early morning brew, we feel the use of a kettle etc, should be allowed. Perhaps consideration could be made to making available some British TV channels. This is not essential but at a time of changing weather and shorter days might have added to our experience. I do not usually partake in breakfast but took advantage of the oranges taken from the orange tree by the pool. They were delicious. The same can be said for the rest of the food. The selection and the quality were excellent and always warm, which is something that can be lacking in some hotels. The salads and desserts were very tempting and the latter had to be resisted at times. It was encouraging to see senior staff monitoring your clients opinions and keeping things up to standard. Our bar bill was what we expected but we fell that the charge for local items of drink was excessive. We are prepared to pay for branded drinks and felt these were fair with the discount we received. We had a lovely valentines evening meal and would like tot hank all the staff for their attentiveness. We enjoyed much of the entertainment - its more than appropriate to the people there and it was delightful to see all ages able to participate. The atmosphere in this hotel is outstanding. There is always excellent service available without pretention which I particularly dislike. This is down to the staff, all of them are prepared to share the time of day and be very helpful. Our special thanks to Andreas. He was always prepared to help my husband develop his skills in the Greek language. The bar area was the area we enjoyed people watching and relaxing. Our special thanks go to Judit and Alena. They were interested in us and delightful young women. We would hope to return early next year circumstances permitting. I would like to have third B&B week first and wondered if this would be possible. Congratulations to all.
