From the historical sites at Luxor to the mighty dam at Aswan a cruise on the Nile offers a relaxed way to explore the sights found on this famous waterway. Explore the historical treasures of the Valley of the Kings, or discover the treasures of Karnak while retiring in the evenings to the comfort of the 5* cruise ship M/S Orchestra (or similar).
The price of the cruise includes:
- Your cruise ship will be the M/S Orchestra (or similar). Accommodation is provided over 3 decks (middle and upper decks can be reserved at a supplement). Standard air-conditioned double cabins are en suite. All have windows and are equipped with minibar, telephone, TV with movies & safe deposit box. Laundry & Dry Cleaning are available at a fee.

Nile Cruise Itinerary:
(with english speaking egyptologist guide. )
Day 1 (Monday): Arrival in Luxor with immediate transfer to cruise ship M/S Orchestra (or similar), cruise to Edfu passing through Esna lock. Dinner and overnight on board in Edfu.
Day 2 (Tuesday): Morning visit to Edfu temple (Temple of Horus) the second largest and one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. Return to the ship for lunch on board and then cruise to Kom Ombo, with an afternoon visit to the temple. Return to the ship and continue cruising to Aswan, dinner and overnight onboard in Aswan.
Day 3 (Wednesday): In the Morning visit the High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, Temple of Philae, lunch on board, afternoon ride on a felucca a small sailing boat found on the Nile. Dinner and overnight onboard in Aswan.
Day 4 (Thursday): Early morning optional visit to Abu Simbel and the site of the Temple to Ramses II (at a fee). Lunch on board, afternoon cruising back to Luxor, dinner & overnight on board in Kom Ombo.
Day 5 (Friday): Full day cruising to reach Luxor, lunch dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 6 (Saturday): In the morning visit of Luxor West bank including the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut funerary temple and Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board cruise ship, afternoon spent at leisure, dinner & overnight on board. Optional visit to attend the light and sound show at the Temple of Karnak (at a fee).
Day 7 (Sunday): Morning visit of Luxor East bank sites including the Karnak and Luxor temples, lunch on board and afternoon spent at your leisure, dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 8 (Monday): Checkout and transfer for flight home or on to your hotel in Luxor, the Sofitel Karnak with the option of a 2 night or 7 night stay on Half Board. Please note: cruise itinerary/timings may change occasionally, but the full sightseeing programme is always provided. Monday departures are only available for the Nile Cruise packages.
