Kovalam Holidays are situated on one of the best known beach resorts in Kerala. Translated Kovalam means grove of coconut trees and this couldn’t be a better description for this former fishing town due to the palm covered headlands which separate the three main sandy beaches in Kovalam. Kovalam holidays are best known for the quality of its golden sandy beaches. To the north the quieter beaches are used by the fishermen who pull their nets directly on to the beach. Due to the quality of the local fish and the history of Kovalam as a fishing town most of the local restaurants specialise in seafood and fish dishes which are excellent. To the south of the Kovalam beach the bays are more populated with holiday makers. The safe waters at Kovalam also offer great opportunities for snorkelling and you can try scuba diving, or if you don’t want to get you feet wet, why not book a boat trip from the beach along the coast?
