The climate is typically Mediterranean, similar to that of Southern Italy or Southern Greece. In the summer there is up 12 hours of sunshine a day. Summer’s are long, warm and dry. In winter there is approximately 6 hours of sunshine per day, Winter’s are mild. Annual rainfall in Malta is low, the driest months are April – September, the wettest months are Dec and Jan (although even during these months rainfall is only between 90 – 110mm per month).
