Of course you don't have to go anywhere to enjoy the sun and spend some quality time in the water. Le Tropical Hotel boasts an excellent freshwater pool. After your dip you can dry off and laze away to your heart's content in one of the sun loungers surrounding the pool.

This is certainly a very light and bright hotel. (And it's a special quality of light that you won't find anywhere else.) The sunny days and warm breezes coming in off the Indian Ocean maintain that tropical feeling – and ensure that Le Tropical Hotel lives up to its name.

The same light, spacious feeling is a feature in the bedrooms too. The en suite rooms are beautifully furnished – each in their own individual style and have such a welcoming feel to them. From your balcony or terrace you can look out over the lagoon and even over to the Deer Island. It's a view worth writing home about.

All rooms come with satellite TV (with video channel) as well as a music system and minibar. So you can settle on your balcony, a little light music playing, a little something cool to drink in your hand and really take it all in. (You'll also have a telephone and safe.)

Meals are all-inclusive, with a choice of buffet lunch or set menu, and an alternating buffet and table d'hote dinner. You can even request a picnic lunch for all your days out.
