This fascinating 4 day mini tour can be taken before a beach stay in Sri Lanka, the Maldives or Kerala.

Sample the wonders of Sri Lanka on a 4-day mini tour Itinerary:

(all travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English speaking driver/guide)

Day 1: After arrival in Colombo proceed to Sigiriya to the Sigiriya Village/Sigiriya Hotel. Remainder of day is spent at own leisure. Dinner & overnight at Sigiriya Village/Sigiriya Hotel.

Day 2: Early morning explore Sigiriya Rock Fortress dating from the 5th century AD and a World Heritage site. After breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa, the 11th and 12th centuries AD capital and visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, Lotus Bath and Polonnaruwa Statue and visit the Gal Vihare which are splendid statues of the Buddha carved out of rock. Dinner and overnight at the Sigiriya Hotel.

Day 3: After breakfast, proceed to Kandy visiting en route Dambulla Rock Temple, spice garden and a house of batik painters. Tour of Kandy including drive around Kandy Lake, visit a bazaar, an arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and lapidary and in the evening visit Temple of Tooth Relic in time for 'Pooja' (religious worship) and cultural show. Dinner and overnight at the Topaz Hotel.

Day 4: After breakfast, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and then proceed to Giragama to visit a tea factory. Continue to Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage where you will see abandoned elephants being cared for and then to Colombo where the tour ends. Transfer to your respective beach hotel in Sri Lanka or to your flight for the Maldives or Kerala.
