We offer a 2-day tour of a fascinating area of Thailand if you are staying in any hotel in Phuket. The area north of the resort, in Phang-Nga province, is one with an amazing coastline backed by an equally scenic interior of forest and mountain. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience natural tropical Thailand at first hand.

This tour can be taken either at the beginning or at the end of your holiday in Phuket.

The tour will run with a minimum of 2 people.

Explore Tropical Thailand on a 2 day tour Itinerary:

(all travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English speaking driver/guide)

Day 1: After an early morning pickup from your Phuket hotel, you travel north to Phang-Nga passing through rubber and palm plantations and small villages giving a vivid glimpse of rural life in tropical Thailand. You have an opportunity to explore the mangrove forest, inland from the coast, by motor boat and, for people wishing to explore smaller creeks, canoes are available. The coastline, facing the Andaman Sea, is one of the most stunning in the country and here you board a classical style Burmese boat for lunch while it sails to a deserted beach where you can swim or canoe as the fancy takes you. Late afternoon you transfer to Khao Sok, part of the largest animal and nature reserve areas in Thailand. Dinner and overnight at Elephant Hills (Accommodation is in luxurious safari tents with private bathrooms, which are fully weather and sun proof with mosquito netting).

Day 2: After a leisurely breakfast you choose one of two options; either spend the morning at the nearby elephant camp and have a hands-on experience in their care and feeding or go on an elephant ride trekking through the rainforest and the spectacular scenery of the Karts Mountains of limestone cliffs, rivers, waterfalls and lakes. After a buffet lunch there is a leisurely river canoe journey along the Sok River before your transport collects you in late afternoon, to return to your Phuket hotel or your flight home.

Note: Single travellers and couples may not always travel as a group. If the hotels detailed are not available alternatives will be used of a similar standard. The tour may also be reversed but all sites mentioned and content will remain the same.

Depending on flight times, an extra night may need to be spent before or after the tour. The cost on B&B is 01/04-19/12/10 £30pppn & 20/12-31/12/10 £40pppn. Single supplement is 01/04-19/12/10 £25pppn. 20/12-31/12/10 £35pppn.

If taking your tour before your beach stay, the following supplements will apply if departing between:
